Fife 50 ft classic 10 metre sloop
Build 1907   50 ft / 15 m50 ft classic William Fife of Scotland

Eun Na Mara” which means "bird of the sea" in Gaelic, was launched in 1907 to a design by the renowned William Fife of Scotland.
The hull was originally carvel planked with cedar on hardwood frames before being completely replanked with Huon Pine in the 1920’s.
The vessel was completely refurbished by a master shipwright in the late 1990’s and the hull was epoxy glassed sheathed.
The keel and rudder have been modernized from the original.
The vessel was fitted with a new aluminum mast (deck stepped with tabernackle) and new standing rigging in 1999.

Comments

Very interesting boat, it is competitive, historical significant and an easy boat to sail. Suitable for club racing at a good level. A different take on the “Modern classic” and very attractively priced to sell. Current owner has original blue prints, many original photos and articles about the boats history. A model of Eun na mara is displayed at the Polly Woodside Maritime museum in Melbourne.
